The Aquarium
My wife and myself hungry for lunch stumbled upon 'The Aquarium' in
Tombland. The board outside said '2 course meal, glass of house wine, and
coffee FOR 2! all for £15.00.
We decided to go for it not expecting too much.
I had a starter of fresh mussels in a thai curry sauce, my wife had a
brochette with goats cheese and sun dried tomato.
Main courses were: Mine: chicken on a bed of root veg. with red wine jus.
My
Wife: Roasted Salmon steak on a bed of veg.
I have to say the food was plentiful, well cooked, very tasty and well
presented. The wine was acceptable for a house white.
I still cant believe there was no hidden cost we really did pay only £15.00
for this excellent meal. The decor has a strange colour scheme and looks a
bit spartan - but given the standard of the meal I can forgive them this!
