Trim hedges. Water clematis, sweet peas and all plants planted out in the last year. Sow more French beans. Sow more marrows, courgettes, pumpkins in the open ground. Sow calabrese for a late crop. Start removing any damaged apples in order to thin out the crop - on younger trees, thinning relieves the strain on the branches it also increases the size of the remaining apples and helps to prevent biennial cropping.
