Week ten Mar 4th - Mar 11th
Feeding begins again in March and the competition for enough time to feed, weed and sow seed is intense. Preparing ground for use in April also has to be accomplished. Final pruning and the cleaning up of herbaceous borders, left untouched throughout the winter in order to provide some protection from the worst of the weather for plants and wildlife, has to be completed before the end of the month. This will also be the last chance this winter to plant bare-rooted fruit trees, soft fruit bushes and roses.
